Graveyard Keeper crafting materials and recipe chains
Use the crafting planner to work back from a finished item to the materials you still need. Choose an item, a workstation recipe, and how many you want. The material calculation counts each owned stack once, rounds work up to whole batches, and stops when a yield is chance-based or a chain loops.
Should I craft this, gather it, or spend what I already have?
Start from the item you need. If Wood billet is already in stock, those copies come off the total before any sawhorse work is added. Marking a material as gathered asks you to bring that many and does not invent a crafting chain for it.
A default chain may follow an automatic log source that needs no player ingredients. If you chop Log yourself, switch that step to gather so the missing list matches your axe work.
You can plan at most 10,000 of one item. Quantities are whole numbers.
How many batches do I run?
Sawhorse turns 1 Log into 4 Wood billet. Need 5 billets with an empty stock and you run 2 batches: 2 logs in, 8 billets out, 3 left over. Those 3 extra billets stay available for later steps in the same plan.
Have 1 billet already and you only need 4 more, so 1 batch and 1 log. The owned billet is counted once; it is not spent again in a later step.
Sawhorse also has Flitch: 1 log makes 6 Flitch. Need 10 flitches and you run 2 batches, keep 2 extra, then feed Wooden plank on Carpenter's Workbench at 1 flitch per Wooden plank.
Which workstation should I pick?
Wooden plank on Carpenter's Workbench and Wooden plank on Carpenter's Workbench II both spend 1 flitch for 1 plank. Pick the bench you have built.
Firewood on Chopping spot spends 1 wood billet for 1 Firewood. If a later recipe burns a fixed amount of fire, that fire total is added on top of the item list.
When two recipes can make the same item, open the step and pick the station you will actually use. Gathering remains available on every deeper step.
How do leftovers reduce the next material requirement?
Guaranteed extra output from a batch is reused before the plan asks you to gather more of that item. That is why 5 billets from a 4-per-log recipe leaves 3 spare billets instead of pretending you needed a fifth log.
Check both the target amount and the output per batch when comparing sources. A recipe producing more than you need can still save a trip when its spare output is used elsewhere in the same chain.
When is the total unfinished?
The missing list is incomplete when:
- a yield depends on chance, so an expected extra cannot be treated as guaranteed
- an ingredient still has several qualities and you have not picked one
- a chain returns to the same item
- a quantity would blow past the 10,000 cap
Resolve the highlighted choice, gather that item, or pick another recipe. Do not read an unfinished row as an average.
How do I share the plan?
The ordinary workbench address already carries the item, amount, and recipe. A share link adds your stock, recipe picks, and ingredient qualities as readable names. Opening that link leaves the recipient's saved preparation in place. Choose Add to preparation on the shared page to save those choices on your device.
