Graveyard Keeper food energy, drink bonuses and packing supplies
Use the food planner when you are packing energy for a trip and need portions, missing stock, and inventory slots. Pick a food or drink, type the energy you want to cover, and optionally tick the effects you will have active while you eat. Each item keeps its own energy, health, stack, and effect list. Energy recovery stays separate from healing.
How much energy does this serving give?
Bread restores 15 energy per piece from its base use. That is the number with no Digestion. Health on bread is 0.
A mug of beer
restores 18 energy and 5 health before drink effects. A mug of beer
starts at 24 energy and 5 health. A mug of beer
starts at 30 energy and 10 health. Use the mug quality you will drink; the planner reads that mug, not a generic beer.
Infusion restores 80 energy and loses 20 health. Tick exclude health loss when you do not want that row in the comparison.
Energy and health cannot exceed their in-game limits. The planner totals recovery across the trip; eat as you go.
When do Digestion, Wine master, and Beer thirst apply?
Digestion potion adds its own energy on foods that read the food multiplier. On bread that extra is 12 times the multiplier of 2, so 15 + 24 = 39 energy. It is not 15 × 3. Wine master and Beer thirst do not change bread; bread with those two still sits at 15.
Blending grants Wine master. Beer thirst is Beer thirst. On a quality-1 mug they add 8 and 5 energy: 26 with Wine master, 23 with Beer thirst, 31 with both. Digestion does not add on that mug.
Higher-quality mugs use different drink extras. Quality 2 adds 5 from Wine master and 10 from Beer thirst. Quality 3 adds 5 from Wine master and 13 from Beer thirst. Do not reuse the quality-1 extras on another mug.
Ticking an effect in the planner assumes it is already active while you eat. It does not drink Digestion potion for you and it does not add duration.
How many portions and slots do I pack?
Portions round up to whole servings. For 1,000 energy of bread at 15 each you need 67 pieces, which supply 1,005 energy and 5 extra. With 10 bread in stock you still need 57. Bread stacks to 20, so 67 pieces occupy 4 slots.
With Digestion on bread (39 energy) the same 1,000 energy needs 26 pieces, 16 missing from a stock of 10, and 2 slots.
An energy target of 0 needs 0 portions. Owned-only comparison keeps the comparison list to foods you actually have; it does not delete your inventory.
Slots follow that item's stack size. A different food with a different stack uses that stack, not bread's 20.
When should I skip a food?
Infusion’s energy comes at a health cost, so exclude health-loss foods when you cannot afford that trade. Match drink quality and active effects to what you will actually use; a higher-quality mug or an inactive perk should not reduce your packing list.
The comparison sorts by fewer portions, then less missing, then fewer slots. That order is a packing aid. It is not a ranking of flavour or of healing.
Prepare ingredients in the crafting planner from the food page when you need to cook or brew the missing servings. A share link keeps the energy target, selected food, effects, and stock you typed. The recipient chooses Add to preparation before the shared selection is saved on their device.
