Graveyard Keeper technology points, Science and study planning

Use the technology planner when you need a remaining knowledge total, a study list, and a Science conversion for Study Table. Pick the technologies you still want. Shared prerequisites are charged once. The new-item studies spend Faith and Science, return the studied item, and award their research rewards once. Converting materials into Science is a separate repeatable action.

How much knowledge do I still need?

Each technology has its own price in red, green, blue, and sometimes evil knowledge or souls' gratitude. If two targets share a parent, that parent's cost appears once in the path. Marking a node already purchased subtracts only that node's price. It does not erase siblings that still sit on the same parent.

Hidden or story-gated nodes stay on the path as unresolved requirements. Expansion-locked nodes are listed with their expansion name. The planner will not invent an unlock order beyond the parent list the technologies already use.

Master of Alchemy costs 100 green and 40 blue and lists Distillate as its parent. Add both to the path if Distillate is not already purchased. Choose technologies by name from the tree the game ships.

Your knowledge budget is what you type in. Studies then add their guaranteed point rewards to that budget before the remaining column.

What does a study actually give me?

A new-item study at the Study Table is one-time. Studying Butterfly costs 1 Faith and 1 Science, returns the Butterfly, and grants 10 green knowledge. The same Butterfly study does not pay again. If you mark it already studied, its Faith and Science drop off the need list.

Bring the Butterfly as well as the required Faith and Science. After the study, the Butterfly is still available for another use, such as making an alchemy ingredient.

Some studies have extra chance rewards. Those chance lines are not added as guaranteed knowledge. The Butterfly study's guaranteed line is the 10 green. Do not count a lucky extra as part of the remaining total.

A selected study is removed from the picker so the same reward cannot be budgeted twice.

How is Science different from knowledge points?

Science is the Study Table resource, not a red, green, blue, or evil knowledge point. Clean paper conversion does not create technology knowledge.

1 Clean paper becomes 2 Science. If a study still needs 1 Science, you convert 1 Clean paper and keep 1 Science left over. The leftover is Science, not a knowledge color.

Pick another conversion source in the planner only when that source is listed. The default is Clean paper at 2 Science per paper.

What does Circumspect add?

Circumspect adds the study's Circumspect bonus, in addition to that study’s ordinary rewards. For Butterfly that bonus is 1 blue. Without the effect, Butterfly gives 0 blue; with it, 1 blue on top of the 10 green.

The planner applies that bonus to the studies you have selected and not yet marked as done. Eat Cheesecake or another Circumspect food in the game when you want the effect active, then tick Circumspect on the study list.

How do I return to the same research plan?

The plan retains its selected technologies, studies, knowledge budget and Circumspect choice when you visit alchemy or crafting and return. A share link opens that particular plan without adding the recipient’s own unlocks or stock to its calculation. Choose Add to preparation to keep the shared choices on the current device.
